Miss Milly at Tierlantyn'kies { March 2015 }

My second Tierlantyn'kies. My nerves were not nearly as shot as the first one. Because this time round I knew exactly what to expect. And I realized that PLANNING and some more PLANNING and a serious amount of to-do-lists made it less stressful. I felt much more prepared this time round as I carefully planned every little thing. I even planned for the things one couldn't anticipate hahaha So much so that the weekend before travelling to Pretoria for the market, I set apart to make my decor and no more stock. Now that's what I call proper planning!

It is always a privilege to be part of something with so much heart and soul. The market was different to my first in many ways. I had a bigger stall - a grown-up stall as I would like to refer to it! A better location with fabulous neighbors. { Go and meet these lovelies over on their Facebook pages * Oulik * Nostalgie Textiles * Alles wat mooi is * Net 'n Kameel } And a whole lot of new Miss Milly pretties to show off!

Miss Milly has a certain look and feel that makes her into who she is and that is subtle tones and pastel colors and lots of natural wood. She is also a lover of vintage and childhood memories and these all came to life in my stall.

{ now is a good time to make that cup of tea to sit and enjoy the pretty pictures! }

I wanted to apologize for the blue basket in this picture but decided against it - I did add this picture because I wanted it to be real. Because behind all the pretty, there is an ugly blue plastic basket that did a whole lot of hard work. It carried many things back and forth, it carried lots of pretties, it carried food for the body, it carried many things, unseen to your eyes but known to my heart!

The biggest highlight of my Tierlantyn'kies was definitely my Miss Milly winning the prettiest stall. And with it a GIGANTIC voucher from Hertex Fabrics. I feel so blessed. It makes you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside to know that the hard work to pull a pretty like her together, doesn't go unnoticed. My sweet fiancee, is the man behind every dream I have. He builds everything my little heart desires. From my vinyl screens, to my trestle tables to my ladder shelf. And he is also the builder of the pretty wooden houses! He is the most patient person when it comes to the actual set-up of the stall and will move and remove things around as many times as it takes for me to be happy! I don't know how I would have been able to do it without him. He is really a gem! And I have created a hashtag just for him #realmengototierlantynkies!

A big thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Lord for blessing me with the ability to create pretties, to have an eye for pretty things, to Tierlantyn'kies Kuier & Koopfees for the platform that they provide for creative business owners, to Hertex Fabrics for the voucher and the chance to finally re-upholster my vintage chair!, to my sweet love for having the world of patience with me and for working behind the scenes to make it all fall into place. And lastly to you! The loyal lovers and supporters of Miss Milly. Without you this would just be an ordinary story but with you in it, it is dream come true!

dear { March }

Dear March,

Thank you for:

* the Tierlantyn'kies Kuier & Koopfees countdown
* large heart washi tape earrings
* washi tape mini notebooks
* washi tape rosette
* Miss Milly in Leef tydskrif
* new design wooden earrings
* Miss Milly at Tierlantyn'kies Kuier & Koopfees

{ the tierlantyn'kies kuier & koopfees countdown }
The countdown to Tierlantyn'kies Kuier & Koopfess was way less stressful than my first one in October last year! Maybe it was because I was better prepared and started well in advance to prepare stock?

{ large heart washi tape earrings }
I decided to try the bigger heart washi tape earrings and of course they had to be done in my favorite vintage floral washi tape in various colors! Maybe next time I will incorporate a yellow and white paint too to see the effect...

{ washi tape mini notebooks }
The new washi tape mini notebooks now come in the cover completely covered in washi tape. I quite like the change to the woodland characters (although they are still my favorite)!

{ washi tape rosette }
The washi tape rosettes are available in 3 sizes: mini, midi and maxi and perfect to accessorize a gift. Who said only ladies can accessorize? A gift can accessorize too ;)

{ miss milly in leef tydskrif }
It was such a privilege to have my Miss Milly featured in the Leef tydskrif, as it is a publication that I adore and buy every month.

{ new design: wooden earrings }
The new design wooden earrings are just tooooooo pretty in my opinion. The "doily" ones as I refer to them have the woodland characters on them and the large hearts come in plain raw wood and soft pastel colors.

The Tierlantyn'kies Kuier & Koopfees was definitely a highlight for March 2015! I will do a full post on it soon!
